| Arpangachhia River The river
betna
flowing southward through the district of satkhira
enters the sundarbans
and takes the name of Arpangachhia. The river is navigable near the mouth
and debouches into the bay
of bengal as Malancha. The Arpangachhia-Malancha is navigable
and is subject to tidal influence throughout the year. The Patri Island
has risen at the mouth of the river.
