Yishu Pat a form of folk painting based on the
life of jesus
Christ. patuyas
who live in a few villages under Pingla thana in Midnapore district of
west bengal,
usually draw such Patachitras. Yisu pats, mainly drawn according
to the specifications of individuals, are quite different from mainstream
patachitras. The birth of Jesus on a jar in a cowshed, religious sermons
by Jesus to his disciples, spiritual communication between Jesus and God,
